Tags: iburst | prices iBurst technology is a wide-area mobile broadband technology offering a unique combination of high speed, wide range and high base station capacity. From January 2010, for new subscribers, the bandwidth has been doubled for the same cost - on monthly contracts. Existing subscribers will be automatically converted to the new packages during December 2009, and if on a Giga package or higher can browse but will be rate limited after reaching their cap - until March 2010. Thereafter you will need to subscribe to the Uncapped Anytime packages to use bandwidth after reaching their cap limit.

| | | - A USB modem (for laptop or desktop computers) will cost R59 pm (on top of your package fee) on a 24 month contract. Or you can buy it cash for R 1699 on monthly contract.
- A desktop modem (for desktop computers) will cost R99 pm (on top of your package fee) on a 24 month contract. Or you can buy it cash for R 2839 on monthly contract.
- A once-off Activation fee of R 99 applies to all new contracts, and R 100 Delivery charge if modem couriered and not collected.
If you choose a 1 GB package or upward, you can choose to pay an additional flat rate of R199 per month, and you’ll get: - Unlimited internet access once your package data is finished, but at slightly slower speeds (of up to 64kbps). This service is called Uncapped Anytime @ 64 kbps.
If you choose an 8 GB package or upward, you can choose to pay a flat rate of R249 per month, and you’ll get: - Unlimited internet access once your package data is finished, at a speed of up to 128 kbps. This service is called Uncapped Anytime @ 128 kbps.
