FAQ
What mail and news server settings should I use?
Answer
Use your own SMTP server linked to one public static ip address (we can provide a reverse DNS entry if required), or
Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server to - mailhost.eject.co.za
and ensure that SMTP Authentication is enabled. Contact us for advice.
The Incoming POP3 mail server - pophost.eject.co.za
should remain the same as when using your dial-up account.
Change the news server to - news.isdsl.net
Something called Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) settings become important when using ADSL. If these are incorrect you will have problems browsing and possibly with emails. Look at http://www.dslreports.com/faq/5793 for details on how to check or change these.
