How do I change POP Number if NOT using the launcher?
Answer
- Manually edit your dialup connection
- Click Start / Control Panel / Network Connections then select the dialup connection. Right-click and choose Properties.
- Untick the 'Use dialing rules' box
- Edit the Phone number to include the Area code before the POP number
- Click OK
If you:
- connect via a PABX add a 0 or 9 before 10 digit POP number
- use a PrePaid Telkom phone, add four commas and your pin code after the 10 digit POP number
- have VoiceMail enabled, contact Telkom or PABX provider for other numbers before the 10 digit POP number.
2) SAIX Dialup - one POP number at local call charges:
The SAIX POPs support V90 , V92, V44, ISDN 64 kbps (but NOT ISDN 128 kbps) standards.
You must first subscribe to the SAIX product (and subscribe to ISDN 64K if you require ISDN over Saix)
